FAQ:  Dale I know my car needs regular service but what does my car need and when?

Answer:  This is a great question and one that I wished more customers would ask. Lets think about something... Should a 4cyl commute car need the same maintenance as a 8cyl heavy duty truck??  So many auto repair shops throw one package at you with the same price no matter what you drive or what kind of driving conditions you drive in. This makes life easy for the repair shop, but may not be so good for your car or light truck... and don’t forget about your pocket book either. With over 25 years of experience servicing everything from farm equipment to small economy cars, I know how and what should be serviced... and when. I believe that today's cars are able to go over 200,000 miles with proper service and repairs. As a master technician, I will maintain your car or light truck with the experience and trust you deserve.

FAQ:  Dale what is a modern day tune up? And when does my car need one?

Answer:  Most cars today are scheduled for a platinum tune up at 100,000 miles or ten years. I really don’t recommend this. About 75,000 or 5 years is max in my eyes. Trucks should never go over 75,000 and if you have a big block, or tow a lot, I recommend even sooner then 75,000.  Your necessary tune up service should be done and included in your 30, 60, and 90 mile service. This includes throttle body service, injector cleaning and engine intake and combustion chamber cleaning, as well as your air and fuel filters.

FAQ:  Dale my check engine light came on, what does that mean?   

Answer:  The check engine, or service engine soon light means that the main on board computer has detected a fault with the drivetrain or powertrain system, this includes systems like fuel injection, ignition system, gas tank and gas cap, transmission and some on board systems cover air conditioning, cruise control and antilock brakes or theft deterent problems. It is always best to have your system checked when the light comes on. This could save you a lot of money and time. We have the latest scan tools for diagnostics here and have some factory equipment to check your on board systems.
